Named after the artist himself, Moe Brooker is a book inspired by and built from the works of the late artist. Throughout his career, Brooker produced countless mixed-media abstract works, each containing bold color, texture, and patterning. One major influence in his artworks was his love for improvisational jazz - which is abstractly echoed through the bold combined use of color and typography throughout the book. Each chapter has an original typographic lockup, which appears on most pages. In combination with the tightly-controlled justified text, the book spreads contain a sense of dynamic movement and rhythm as shown in Brooker's work.
